That Time Again

No beautiful sunrise this morning folks. This is the view I was greeted with at daylight. I guess it's that time of the year again :(

Fall Color

Yes folks, it's fall, and the trees are taking on the lovely fall colors prior to shedding their leaves for another year.
This is a Mountain Ash or Rowan just a few yards down the road from our house. Too beautiful to miss.

You really don't have to look far to find beautiful images. This is the Sumac growing in my back yard just when the sun hit it at the right angle.

Took this a few days ago. I think this shows that not all sunrises have to be garish colour. Interesting though.
btw I intend having a go at watercolour in the near future. Could be fun... could be disaster :)

Oct 2010 update

 

Several months since I posted here. Planning another trip to Australia and New Zealand in Feb and March of next year.

Got a nice sunrise photo this morning so hope it shows well.

Looks a bit small here. (OK you can click it to see larger.) It was taken from the front of our house in Vernon, BC. Would you believe we face east :)

Must try to keep more up to date with this.

Kaikohe 2010

Took a trip to New Zealand to meet up with old friends. Just for a week, but it was good and the weather was the greatest.I got some interesting photos while there and also witnessed the local school kids performing a welcome ceremony and Haka. What an experience.
One pic of that event and some scenery shots also, plus one of the Motel where I stayed. Wish I had a pic of the meals the chef produced. To die for doesn't even get near it.

Sun Peaks

We are staying for a few days at a ski resort about 2 hours north of home. No, I don't ski :)
